exit ramp

There are a lot of things I learned through the years that are still of importance to me. So, it doesn’t mean my past doesn’t have any value. Not all is lost. It only means my current spiritual road has me taking the exit ramp off the religious highway of evangelicalism and Christendom.

Before leaving my recent job a colleague asked, “Why the new adventure? Midlife crisis? More money? Status?” I said, “Actually, it’s a life crisis. It’s about a deconstructed life needing to be reconstructed. It’s about reconciling the past and redeeming the present. It’s about my mental and spiritual health. Why? Because I’ve lost my faith in Jesus.”
